I hiked Sunshine in August of 2001 via the connecting ridge from Redcloud. It's not a bad route if you start early. It's about a mile and a half between the summits, with around 500 feet of elevation gain and loss. I was careful not to knock off any rocks and make it a 13er! Of course my dog, Mahli made it the summit before I did! And yes that is the trail to the summit. can you say Talus?
